What counts as one workflow

One workflow extracts one schema from one source. Editing the schema keeps it the same workflow.

When a workflow uses a slot

  • A scheduled workflow uses a slot while its schedule is on, for at least 30 days.
  • A real-time workflow uses a slot while it is running, for at least 30 days.
  • One-time and ad-hoc workflows are free. They never use a slot.
  • Building and previews never use a slot.
To free a slot for another workflow, pause the workflow. The slot frees up once its 30-day minimum has passed.

Slot multipliers

Most workflows use exactly one slot. Rows extracted and access handling (such as getting past bot protection) are covered by fair use. A workflow outside that range uses more or less than one slot: You see a workflow’s class during preview, before you approve it. The Slot breakdown on the Usage page lists every workflow that does not use exactly one slot.

Contracts that count approved workflows

Some contracts count approved workflows instead of slots. A workflow counts once it is approved and has finished one successful run. Previews stay free.

See your usage

The Usage page shows active workflows, slot usage, and the slot breakdown over time. If your organization has several teams, it also shows the contract quota and each team’s share.
